At Penny’s Pooch Palace, every dog is welcomed with patience, kindness and individual care. This is a calm, home-based grooming salon where appointments are carried out one-to-one, allowing each dog to receive Penny’s full attention from arrival to collection.
There are no busy waiting areas, no production-line grooming and no unnecessary rushing. Every appointment is adapted to suit the dog’s breed, coat, age, temperament and previous grooming experience. Whether your dog is confident, nervous, elderly or visiting for the first time, the aim is always to make grooming feel as comfortable and positive as possible.
From full grooms and bath-and-dry appointments to de-shedding, hand stripping, puppy introductions, tidy-ups, nail trimming and additional care treatments, every service is delivered with genuine attention to your dog’s wellbeing.

FULL GROOM
Regardless of your pet’s breed, age or behaviour, each of my services can be curated to fit their specific needs. A full groom includes a consultation to establish the specifics of what the requirements and expectations are for your dog and discuss any behaviours, medical issues and adaptations that may need to be made for the dogs comfort and support. Followed by a basic surface level health check , nail trim, ear cleanse, bath with a minimum of two shampoos, fluff dry and brush through to remove knots and prep the coat for cutting and styling, pad trim, hygiene trim, cut and style of your choice followed by an optional spritz dog cologne.
BATH & DRY
Our Bath and dry service is perfect for keeping your dog looking and feeling their best whether your pup has had a muddy adventure or just needs a little extra TLC this service is designed to leave them clean, comfortable and ready for cuddles.
DE SHEDDING GROOM
My De-shedding service gives your pet maximum care, This is one of my most popular services. Suited to double coated shedding breeds, both short haired and long haired that go through coat cycles with seasons, central heating and other factors whereby the undercoat needs to come out, causing the dog to shed vigorously. It can look scruffy and make a mess of your home. A de-shed will help reduce this by removing and loosening the undercoat in a larger quantity within the groom. Service includes a nail trim (where needed and possible), ear cleanse, bath with a least two shampoos to help release the shedding hair, blow dry and brush out, a pad tidy and an optional spritz of dog perfume.
HAND STRIPPING
Keeping coat texture and colour as it should be
Hand stripping is a groom that is more suited to wiry fur such as most terrier breeds, schnauzers also some spaniels types, etc subject to coat quality and texture. Hand stripping is the process of removing the dead top coat by hand instead of shaving this helps to keep coat colour vibrant and the texture as it should be as opposed to going softer and losing colour when shaved, it also fully removes the dead hair from the follicle meaning less chance of skin problems and blockages therefore making way for new healthy hair growth. Included in this groom is a nail trim if needed, ear cleanse, bath with a minimum of two shampoos, blow dry and brush through, pad trim, sanitary tidy, hand strip and optional spritz of dog cologne.
TIDY UP INTERIM GROOM
A lighter grooming session designed to keep your pet fresh and comfortable between full grooms. Includes a bath,a trim around the eyes, feet, and hygiene areas, nail clipping if needed and ear cleansing.
